Angel painting

This painting is different to my usual subject matters. I wanted to explore a deeper meaning with this piece, it’s influenced by so many things I see in the world and I often ask myself, have I led a good life? Giving back and not constantly taking as we all meander through life.

The painting is surreal / abstract and the narrative focuses on life.
It’s challenging our subconscious to decide whether we’ve individually led a good life before we die meet our own angel.

The composition and subject is collection of elements that I often see, the scream, the house in the distance, the words ‘I can’t help you’… meaning is it too late, dandelions blowing in the wind and of course the ANGEL. Which is based on the crucifixion of Christ, but with angle wings forcing their way out and posing a very commanding position for the viewer to contemplate.

I still have a few things to do before the painting is complete, which may involve covering it in clear casting resin.
